How do I repay my agreement?

When you come to collect the vehicle or if we drop the vehicle off to you, we will take you through all of the required paperwork before signing any documents.

 

Can I payback before the end of my agreement?

Yes. At any point in the agreement you can early settle your account. An early settlement rebate will apply which is dependant on how far you are into your term.

 

What happens at the end of my agreement?

Once you have completed your final weekly / monthly payment, and paid the final payment, we will arrange for the transfer of ownership via DVLA. Any outstanding charges such as parking penalties, and London congestion charge on the vehicle, must also be cleared in full at this point.

 

Can I change to another vehicle?

Yes. You can change or upgrade your vehicle at any time. Please bear in mind that you only start to gain positive equity in your vehicle after the half way stage. Subsequently, a new deposit may be required if you want to change before then.

 

What happens if I need to terminate my agreement?

The Rent 2 buy contract is a legally binding contract. If you need to terminate early, you will be liable to pay an amount equivalent to 50% of the total sum re-payable (known as the termination balance).

However, in most cases, we will work with you and try to reach an agreement where we will reduce this termination balance to either 1 or 2 months in the hope that you will consider using our services in the future. We believe that we are the only company that offers this facility.

 

What are my responsibilities?

You are responsible for insuring, taxing and MOTing your vehicle through the contract. Additionally, you must also service and maintain your vehicle as per manufactures guidelines. Finally, any vehicle being returned or changed must be in a fair wear and tear condition as per out T&C’s. All our vehicles are handed out with a 1 year MOT as standard.

 

How do I re-pay my agreement?

Re-payments are by standing order and can be made either weekly or monthly, whichever suits you best. We can take payments by debit card however these need to be paid in person.

 

What warranty do I get?

All our Rent 2 Buy vehicles are serviced and undergo a full mechanical check. We provide a 1 month comprehensive warranty. We recommend that you purchase an additional warranty for the term of your agreement for added peace of mind, we would be happy to recommend companies used by us and pass on our discounts to you the end user. Our bad credit rent 2 buy agreement is flexible and designed to get you on the road!

 

What is something goes wrong with the vehicle during my agreement?

Unfortunately cars go wrong sometimes it does not matter if its a new car or a used car, here at RENT2BUY we have thought through all the issues a consumer can come across, as standard we offer you a one month no quibble repair on the vehicle, past the 30 days however we do recommend that a client takes out a warranty for the term of their agreement, this again can be added to your weekly payments and start from around £3 a week dependent on your agreement term. All warranty work is carried out by us in house so its just a matter of getting the car back to us for any repairs. In the event the client does not take out a warranty and they come across an issue with the vehicle we can once again spread that cost over the remainder of the agreement adding it to your weekly or monthly payments no matter how long or short the agreement remains. The same applies for wear and tear work such as servicing, brakes etc.
