How do I repay my agreement?
At the vehicle’s collection or delivery stage, the whole paperwork will be explained to you before you sign any document. So, you will get through everything involved at that point.
Can I settle my account before the end of my agreement?
Yes, of course, you can payback as early as you wish any time during the agreement. In that case, you will be eligible for a premature settlement rebate depending on how much you are into your rent 2 buy term. Subject to Terms and conditions.
What should I expect after the completion of my agreement?
When your final weekly or monthly payment is being paid, we will transfer you the vehicle’s ownership through the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). If there are any outstanding dues on the vehicle must be paid at this stage, whether it’s London congestion fee, parking penalty or any other charges.
Can I change to another car or van?
Yes. You can switch or upgrade your car or van at any point. But please keep in mind that you will only begin to getting positive equity in your vehicle as soon as the half way phase is completed. Therefore, you may be required to submit a new deposit if you want to change to another vehicle before that point.
What happens if I want to discontinue my agreement?
The Rent 2 buy contract is a legally binding contract. If you need to terminate early, you will be liable to pay an amount equivalent to 50% of the total sum re-payable (known as the termination balance).
However, in most cases, we will work with you and try to reach an agreement where we will reduce this termination balance to either 1 or 2 months in the hope that you will consider using our services in the future. We believe that we are the only company that offers this facility.
What am I responsible for through the agreement?
In the course of your contract, you are liable to arrange insurance, Mot and taxing. In addition to that, you are also required to maintain and service the vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines. Lastly, as per our terms and conditions, if you want to return or change the vehicle, it must be delivered to us in a nice and fair condition. All our vehicles are handed out with a 1-year MOT as standard.
How do I re-pay my agreement?
You can repay by standing order either on a weekly or monthly basis, which way you like it. We can take payments by debit card, however, these need to be paid in person.
What warranty do I get?
All our Rent 2 Buy cars and vans are serviced and go through a complete mechanical check. We give a 1-month thorough warranty. We suggest that you obtain an additional warranty for the term of your agreement for added convenience, we would be pleased to recommend warranty providers used by us and pass on our discounts to you the end user. What if something goes wrong with the vehicle during my agreement?
Unfortunately, cars go wrong sometimes, it does not matter if it’s a new car or a used car, here at RENT2BUY we have thought through all the issues a consumer can come across, as standard we offer you a one month no quibble repair on the vehicle, past the 30 days however we do recommend that a client takes out a warranty for the term of their agreement, this again can be added to your weekly payments and start from around £3 a week dependent on your agreement term. All warranty work is carried out by us in house, so it’s just a matter of getting the car back to us for any repairs. In the event the client does not take out a warranty and they come across an issue with the vehicle we can once again spread that cost over the remainder of the agreement adding it to your weekly or monthly payments no matter how long or short the agreement remains. The same applies for wear and tear work such as servicing, brakes, etc.
